OVERVIEW
General Information:

Jackson-Bell  Model 25

The Model 25 chassis is a midget superheterodyne. The unusual design has an R.F. amplifier followed by an Autodyne Frequency Changer and a detector; there is no I.F. amplifier.

There are at least four Chassis Variations. All Chassis versions have some type of Tone Control. The last chassis Version had A.V.C. “Automatic Volume Control”.

Performance is decent, adequate for local stations, and some DX using a short antenna. The Translucent, back lighted dial is calibrated from 0 to 100. Jackson- Bell made this feature, Most cabinet versions Include a Logging Card Drawer.

A link to the "Jackson-Bell Goes Small In A Big Way" article from the Spring/Summer issue of the SCARS Gazette appears below. The text goes into great detail about this set and the rest of Jackson-Bell's midget line-up.

Jackson-Bell 25 Peter Pan Tombstone Cabinet:

This cabinet does not have a Logging Card Drawer. This is unusual since the Dial is not Calibrated.  The Faux Wood Burl finish gives the impression of a very expensive Cabinet.

All the Jackson-Bell Midgets shared a common knob pattern. This cabinet design was also used with the Model 4, 4 Tube TRF Chassis. To identify your radio, looking at the back is essential.
